I decided to take off a few minutes early from work yesterday and play with the kids outside when my wife noticed some peculiar paw prints in the driveway. She had been getting the kids to follow the fresh deer tracks through the mud for fun when she stumbled upon these prints.
Coyotes are common place at our place and as much as I would love to setup every morning for a yote hunt it just isn’t possible, but these were much larger than both her and I were used to seeing.
From front to back the paw prints were close to 4 ½ inches to 5 inches long. Not your usual coyote size. There had been reports of cougars in the area but I ruled that out pretty early.
Anyone ever run across a coyote print this large??? Seemed to large when I was looking at it but I wouldn't mind getting a second opinion from everyone out there.
I don’t have a prize for the best answer but anyone that comments I’ll think of something to give away.
Thanks in advance for the help!
